In this post we present a series of video tutorial that will help you getting started using Slice-Up Beta.
In the first video I give a quick overview of the tools, workflow and concepts upon which Slice-Up is based. Also, I present some useful resources that are available to you.
In the next three videos we will create a very basic object in order to get confident with the Slice-Up workflow.
First we introduce the vaseShape module, which is the most straightforward starting point for a Slice-Up design.
Now, let's see how you can move your design objects across different modules: in the next video we will use the baseFill module and look in detail at all the available parameters.
It is now the time to finalize your design. By importing the previously created objects in the Spiral module you will be able to print them out in vase mode.
In the last video I will be going into details of all parameters you need to adjust in order to properly place your object, compute the E values, and fine-tune the tool-path.
This concludes our introductory tutorials, you can head to your printer and press play!
Now you know how to create a design object, add a base and print it out. The very same workflow allows you to import a design object into any module in order to create more interesting and complex designs.
In the next videos we will take a close look to more advance functionalities, so follow us on YouTube if you are interested!
